Port Ludlow residents have finger-tip access to an amazing variety of local information resources -- both on paper and online. Some of the resulting redundancy is welcome, some is confusing and annoying. The major sites are listed below. They show that some coordination has already taken place, more may be forthcoming, and some may be unnecessary and unwelcome in view of the fact that all of these efforts are accomplished by volunteers.

    • Port Ludlow Computer Club [The Club's Website has been taken down without warning in early November 2010. There was a reduced Club page available through the Port Ludlow Today site, but PLT was closed in 2013: The Computer Club expanded its name by adding "Digital Life" and created this Website

"The club is made up of computer enthusiasts who learn, share experiences and serve the Port Ludlow and surrounding communities. We provide Education on Computers and Software; share social activities with fellow computer enthusiasts; and learn from each other's experiences."

    • The original effort to establish a "Digital Village" (David Pike & Dean Mosier, 2008) The concept of a "digital village" was pitched to business owners at a Port Ludlow Chamber of Commerce meeting by residents Dave Pike and Dean Mosier on Wednesday. "Just imagine if you could sit down at your computer and go to just one site for your entire community," Mosier said. "This is that site." Mosier asked for a show of hands in the room of who supported the idea. Nearly every hand was raised...."
The idea and subsequent Website "Port Ludlow Today" died in 2013.

"I ran into Bev and Bernie Kestler at the QFC recently where Bernie told me they had been married for 58 years! Bernie also told me he is starting his beginning computer class for the last time. Sixteen years of it has become enough. Many thanks to a man who endured many a frustration but brought many folks into the 21st century." (Ned Luce, Port Townsend Leader, March 13, 2013)
